Damn, we still need salespersons!
Technology was supposed to wipe this expense away from the charts. Yet we seem to need those creatures even more. How did that come to happen?

Selling was harder than we thought
Sales is harder than we had imagined it to be (well to be fair… those in sales did tell that). Especially in B2B sales, interaction and “thinking outside the box” are crucial, when it comes to closing deals. This is also true in B2C. E-Commerce space is flooded with options from which to choose from. People in sales can make truly a positive impact on such a highly competitive market. It’s the people who make the company stand out from the crowd. Also online.
Gartner’s research has pointed out, how B2B buyers have rated a salesperson as the most influential factor in their buying process.
Sales is hated. Or loved.
As they’re seen the most influential, they’re also hated the most. Nothing is worse than listening to a voice-over of some way too redundant marketing or sales material. Customers are looking for real conversations, which will solve their underlying issues and needs.
While bots may be better than us at certain tasks, they’re going to have to live up to their employers’ unrealistic expectations just like the rest of us -Telegraph.co.uk
For those in sales, this is a challenge. Don’t become that robot or chatbot yourself. You can do better!
