Looking for artificial intelligence
This years theme was digital marketing and its main content was based on Vainu.io and Google Data analysis. Artificial Intelligence, the theme of the last year, was heavily involved and the business intelligence skills were assessed by means of a tool created by the Artificial Intelligence Center.
In Finland, we are accustomed to the forefront of digitalization. Still, we are slightly running behind with regard to the new implementation. Finland’s relatively high placement is explained by its even performance across various indicators. In previous Digibarometer reports, Finland has been one of the best in the business sector what comes to digitalization. Now others are passing by. But in the public section, Finland is keeping its place.
Maybe Finland’s strategy is to continue in the suction of the hype forerunners and take a technology leap when the hype has calmed down, and opportunities have realized.
It is clear that Finland is not on the edge of digitalization disaster, even though we didn’t reach the top of the digibarometer this year. Competition keeps getting harder and the new solutions should be put in to use faster. Instead of hype, we need investment in know-how in businesses.
